Then this happened:

An "emergency" was declared at the car rental facility and the entire building, all four floors, including car rentals, metro bus, and train terminal had to be evacuated. 2 1/2 hours later, with no announcement or explanation whatsoever, things returned to normal.
Not exactly the start I was imagining but, eventually made it to the house. Click on the photo caption below for a tour of the house. It is spectacular and everything that I imagined.
As has been our tradition for many years, we went to the Ritz Carlton's oceanfront restaurant for "Opening Night" dinner and all seemed right with the world (except Trump is still around)!
